Androgynous looks are really trendy again and high street has never offered so many, so cool, masculine items before.
To get the look right, try to mix both very masculine and very feminine pieces. The look that’s most ‘in’ right now, has a bit of a street style twist with that ‘I don’t care what u think,I’m stylish’ thing going on. The absolute must have items are pleat-front trousers and boyfriend blazer. Personally, I pull the look together with a feminine blouse and stilettos. Boxy shirts with a bow tie detail are very on-trend too and fit in perfectly.
If you want to give it a little bit more casual, street feel, mess up your hair, add a red coloured item and leopard print accessory!
One of the leaders of androgynous look for A/W 11 was Chanel who really pushed it far with very slouchy trousers and untidy look.
Below is an example of a set with androgynous feel, mostly by River Island; bow tie by Asos.
