My inner cowgirl

Having grown up in mainland Europe and spent my adult life in Dublin, I never endorsed the Western look as a trend. It simply isn’t very close to my heart (not the way jumpsuits, midi skirts and oversized sweatshirts are). The leather fringe, the embroidered shirt, the boots… it hasn’t really been my thing before.

Since it’s one of THE trends for SS’13, I tried it out. I made one simple adjustment which transformed this look from farmland to city – appropriate: I added designer glasses.

You might remember my early outfit posts, usually wearing a pair of glasses. I think it’s a brilliant way to accessorize an outfit and pull it all together. I finally got around to getting my eye test done and although I have no need for 24/7 glasses, I got these cool Tommy Hilfiger glasses to rest my tired eyes when needed and inject some stylishness at the same time 😉 Specsavers Opticians Blanchardstown (where I got my beauties) have a deal to buy 1 pair of designer glasses and get 1 free so you can spoil yourself!

It looks like I will embrace the new trends this season, even the Western one, as long as I don’t look like a country girl…

Shirt – Penneys
