I recently attended Penneys (Primark in the UK) press day and a preview of their Autumn/Winter 2013 collection.
Before I move on to the clothes, I have to comment on the event itself. I attend collection launches / previews regularly and I’m always really happy for the opportunity to do so. Based on my experience to date, this was by far the best preview I attended. The thing that really made it was the presence of both buyers and designers. They talked me through different collections, the inspiration behind them, they showed me to their mood boards and they had the pricing / fabric / any other info to hand (or in their head!). These were the people who made this range happen and you could just tell that they were proud of it. They were there to talk about it, sell it but also to hear the feedback.

Really well done to everyone involved.
Now, moving on to the clothes, the designers definitely sold them to me and I’m not sure if I can do as great of a job. Their photography should help though and you can see some of my fave looks below.
Beanie €3, PU Sleeve Check Jacket €29, , Print TShirt €6, Check Shirt €13, Jeans €15, Boots €20 (In Stores from July). I will be honest, the beanie is the only item I will probably go for from this look. If you’re into the grunge revival though and looking to sport this style, that’s a great selection right here.
Boucle Coat €40, Jumper €16, Blouse €10, Bag €12, High Ankle Peeptoe Boot €18 (In Stores from August). This is probably my favorite outfit and the coat is definitely on my shopping list. It had a really luxurious look and feel to it, it will be perfect in early autumn.
PU Sleeve Floral Jumper €14, Rings €5, L.E. Bracelet €6, Necklace €5 (In Stores from July). I felt spoiled for choice with the selection of jewelry available in the range and I have a long wishlist of jeweled necklaces and oversized rings I’ll be buying.
PU Varsity Jacket €31, Blouse €13, Embellished Jumper €17 Trousers €17, Ankle Strap Courts €18, Necklace €6. This jumper and trousers stole were the icing on the caked! They’re the perfect AW’13 statement pieces and I love how they’re suitable for both the office, a night out and a cosy night in by the fire!
The last look is definitely my favourite! I love everything about it 🙂

This does not look like a Penneys campaign… they've done well. I haven't been in there in an age, I must go on a bargain hunt soon!
