I love this time of the year. I would go as far as saying that September is probably my favorite month. The fact that it’s my birthday might have something to do with it 😉
Although to be totally honest, I am beginning to dread my birthdays! I always laughed at people who worried about their age too much but now I get it – it comes with time (and grey hair and all..).Anyway, I still love when the weather turns and the hemlines get a bit longer, the jumpers fluffier and the coats heavier.

Pieces that bridge the gap between seasons are really important and in my mind, you never know when you need something warmer / lighter in Dublin, so I like to have a good array of items suitable for both spring and autumn.
This Penneys skirt falls into that category. It’s simple but still interesting thanks to the gently frilled bottom. It’ll fit in with any season in terms of colour and although it’s quite short, it’s from a really soft fabric which is exactly what you need when the mornings get that bit colder.
If worn to the office, I would pair it with a pair of low-heeled pumps.
