One of my recent purchases caused a little flood of ‘ohs’ and ‘ahs’ though and here it is…
I spent the last few weeks wandering around stores, trying to get excited about some of the new items in stock. I followed one rule: avoid Zara.Since I realised that most of my wardrobe comes from Zara, I was concerned that my style became too monotonous and boring. As long as I stayed away from it though, I couldn’t fall for autumn this year!
I broke the rule last weekend and as expected I am in love with the new season!
I decided not to do an obvious combo of courts & an oversized clutch and instead, I tried to make the look a little bit more fun. This is such a versatile dress, it could be dressed up and worn as evening wear (hair up, high heels, pretty clutch and huge earrings) or totally dressed down with flat shoes and cardi over it (a little cute, a little grungy).
I love how this dress represents some of the key trends for AW’13 but at the same time it’s simple and classy enough to last. The florals on the black background give it the perfect romantic & wintery feel.
